My favorite things...

As winter doldrums continue in Northern Indiana, there is little to do. I decided to take a group of photographs of my favorite things within these four walls that we call home. Nathan and I are avid collectors of, well, pretty much everything. It is always exciting to see what people think of our organized chaos when they come to our home for the first time. Here are a few images of these possessions

This "Monkey's Paw" Plant measures about 5 feet in length, hanging from the ceiling in our dining room

Convex  Mirror. I have always wanted one of these. I finally found one reasonably priced at a local antique shop

Our Lounge. My favorite pieces in there are the cigar table and flowered chair that Memphis is modeling. My Brother found the chair at a Salvation Army a few years back. Baby model is not for hire ;)  

This pair was part of my senior show at IPFW. They are still my very favorite pieces that I have ever created. White Stoneware, 3 feet in length.

Antique Type box. I have all of our miniatures collected in this guy. Memphis has one too, in his room. He hasn't found very many things to put in his yet, though ;)

Whatever this is: I love it. It was a find in Arizona. 

Cow Skull. I have wanted one of these all of my life. My cousin Danny bought this for me while he was visiting us in Arizona when we lived there. Probably my most prized possession

Another skull. This one is from our friend Bob Rogan. I love skulls

Crash cymbal retired by my brother the night of Nathan's 30th birthday party. Hangs on our wall in remembrance of that night, as well as a reminder of how much my brother rocks.

Art by my friend Eric Tarr. I have filled this with more collectibles. Found objects that deserve to go in here are very special.

 Our black and white photography collection. This is about ten tears in the making. To make this wall you have to be badass or famous.
